Garfield garbage truck conflicts with route

A new complication has come up regarding the town of Garfield’s garbage truck.

After the town bought the used 2002 Mack in December 2013 for $63,500 from West Valley, Utah, a group went to drive it to Garfield, including previous Mayor Jarrod Pfaff.

Since then it has been at Western Systems in Spokane having its Curatto-Can device re-installed. The device, which picks up garbage cans and other items by electronic arm, is one of the main reasons the town bought the truck.
