Gar-Pal/T.O. team angles for playoffs

With one more doubleheader remaining, the Garfield-Palouse/Tekoa-Oakesdale baseball team aims for a No. 6 seed for the playoffs.

Set to play next at Tri-Cities Prep Saturday, the Vikings (7-10-1 overall, 3-7 in league), split two games Tuesday with Dayton and beat Pomeroy at home last Saturday.

Playing at Dayton, the Vikings lost 11-1 and then won 5-4.

In the first game, a double from Jesse Lopez and RBI single by Mason Bates were the only hits the team had. They committed four errors in the loss.
