U-Turn said crash cause

Two Spokane men were taken by MedStar helicopter to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane May 9 after they were injured in a car-truck accident on Highway 195 near the landfill turnoff on Carothers Road.

The injured men were identified as Ryan W. Tritten, 24, Enumclaw, and James W. Sullins, 23, Spokane.

The driver of the truck, Norman Druffel, 82, Pullman, was not injured in the crash.

According to the Washington State Patrol report, Tritten was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Sunfire southbound just before 1 p.m. when he attempted to make a U-turn on the highway. The Sunfire was struck b...
