LaCrosse FFA had a very successful year at the Spokane Junior Livestock Show. The show started with success in the meats contest where LaCrosse placed second. Team members were Jason Wigen and Cole Evans (tied for fifth individual), Jessica Guske (10th individual), David Alguea, Graham BeDell, Abby McGregor and Weston Miller.
Evans also won the State FFA Livestock Judging Contest by topping 177 participants from around Washington.
Ten members exhibited 16 animals including 11 goats, one steer and four hogs. The LaCrosse FFA Chapter was awarded the Seabeck Award for Outstanding FFA Chapter at the show for the second year in a row.

Graham BeDell (two goats)- Reserve Grand Champion Market Goat, purple ribbon market goat, purple in fitting and showing
Cole Evans (one goat, one steer)- Blue ribbon market steer, red ribbon market goat, purple in goat fitting and showing, blue in beef fitting and showing
Jessica Guske (two hogs)- Blue ribbon market hog (two), blue in fitting and showing
Joey Guske (two goats)- Purple ribbon market goat, red ribbon market goat, purple in goat fitting and showing
Abby McGregor (one goat)- Reserve Grand Champion Freshman/ Sophomore Goat Showman, Purple ribbon market goat
Lindsey Miller (two hogs)- purple ribbon market hog, blue ribbon market hog, blue in fitting and showing
Jazlynn Webb (one goat)- Grand Champion Freshman/Sophomore Goat Showman, purple ribbon market goat
Terrell Webb (one goat)- Red ribbon market goat, purple ribbon in fitting and showing
Jason Wigen (two goats)- Blue ribbon market goat (two), purple ribbon in fitting and showing
Nick Zinthaefner (one goat)- Purple ribbon in fitting and showing
Four members of the LaCrosse All-Purpose 4H Club participated at the Junior Livestock Show of Spokane.
Abree Aune showed a prospect steer, making it into the championship class for confirmation and earned top four honors in the Junior Fitting and Showing division championship class.
Dustin Broeckel took a market steer and prospect steer to the show.
Dustin won a blue ribbon with his prospect steer and a red ribbon in market class, while earning a trip back into the championship round for Junior Fitting and Showing.
Lauren Stubbs entered the show with a market steer, a prospect steer and a market goat.
With her market steer she won a red ribbon, a blue ribbon with her prospect steer and then qualified for the championship class in Intermediate Fitting and Showing.
With her goat, Lauren earned a red ribbon in the market class and qualified for the championship round in Intermediate Fitting and Showing.
Gunnar Aune showed a prospect steer and market goat.
With his prospect steer, Gunnar earned blue ribbons in both confirmation and Fitting and Showing.
With his market goat, he earned a blue ribbon in market class and a purple ribbon in Fitting and Showing.
Gunnar Aune also won the 4H Meat Judging competition at the Jr.
Show.
All four members competed in the 4H Livestock Judging competition: Broeckel placed 13th overall and Abree Aune took 42nd in the Junior division; Gunnar Aune was fifth and Stubbs was 39th overall in the intermediate division.
Ashtyn Aune of the Colfax FFA chapter competed at the Junior Livestock Show of Spokane. Ashtyn earned third place overall FFA Market Steer and third place overall FFA Prospect Steer with her two projects. Ashtyn also placed third in FFA Freshmen/Sophomore Fitting and Showing with her market steer.
Darleen Knott was awarded the LaCrosse Yard of the Month honor.
