Nine compete in annual banner contest

Decorative banners for the seventh annual H'Art of the Palouse project were posted on Colfax streetlights standards in the downtown area by volunteers Greg Harazin and Rick Anderson Sunday.

Nine banners were entered in the contest this year.

The Colfax Arts council will distribute their ballot paint buckets around town and residents can cast their vote for the People's Choice Award which will be presented June 5 when the entrants are honored at the council's Artist of the Month reception at the library at 7 p.m.
