Colfax faces DeSales in regional opener

Colfax will face the DeSales Irish Saturday in the first round of the regional playoffs at Avista Stadium in Spokane at 1 p.m.

The Bulldogs go into the regional as the top NE team after edging Northwest Christian last week in the league round at Medical Lake.

DeSales, a perennial baseball power in the B ranks, will take the field at Avista as the number-two team out of the SE league. The Irish bowed to Asotin 2-4 in the SE title game last Saturday.
