254 salutes

Army Specialist Trevor Ovens, who recently moved to Colfax, Saturday gave a formal salute to each of the 254 veterans flags which were posted over the Memorial Day weekend at the Colfax Cemetery.

Ovens, who recently completed three and one half years of active duty, is now on reserve status.

He served two and one half years at the Army’s Camp Hovey which is located in South Korea about 20 miles from the DMZ zone.

Ovens made a formal military turn in front of each flag and gave a salute.

The honor exercise took more than two hours to complete.
