A number of pleasure seekers from this city visited Steptoe Butte last Sunday to feast their eyes on the grand view of the magnificent Palouse country spread out like a map before them. They report large numbers of people from all over the country as being there.

Memorial Day was a great event in Colfax this year.

Added to the usual interest, the dedication of the monument to the soldier dead drew hundreds of visitors from the country and neighboring towns to witness the impressive ceremonies.
