Seniors who finished out the last sports season for the Rosalia Spartans included, from left to right, Alex Naught, Clay Shelton, MacKenzie Reddish, Jason Brown, Shannon Carrothers, Craig Nelson, Stacey Carrothers and Ryan Maley.
The 2014 Rosalia Spartan softball/baseball combined awards potluck was Monday, May 19. The coaches praised both teams for successful seasons and thanked their players for all the hard work and dedication the players gave to this last final sports season of the Rosalia Spartans.
Baseball Coach Brian Reid and Assistant Scott Raynor gave the following awards, which were voted on by the team members: Most Improved Player, Eddy Frick; Most Dedicated Player, Ryan Maley and Best Teammate, Lucas Engel. The coaches also gave special recognition to the four senior players: Jason Brown, Ryan Maley, Craig Nelson and Clay Shelton.
Maley and Nelson have been chosen for the District 9 All-League team while Shelton received honorable mention.
Softball Coach Whitney Bowerman and Assistant Coach Alisa Moehrle-Druffle gave the following awards, which were voted on by the team members: Most Valuable Player, Stacey Carrothers; Most Improved Player, Rayna Charles and Most Inspirational Player, Cassadi Bruce. The softball team also honored seniors Alex Naught, Shannon Carrothers, Stacey Carrothers and MacKenzie Reddish.
The coaches also announced that MacKenzie Reddish was chosen for the District 9 All-League team and Shannon Carrothers and Stacey Carrothers received honorable mention.
