Colfax girls spin out,1-2 at state

Colfax softball season ended early Saturday when they sustained a one-run loss to Morton-White Pass in the consolation bracket of the state B tournament at Gateway Park in Yakima. The 7-8 loss came after the Bulldogs Friday dropped their tourney opener to Adna and defeated Asotin in the first round of consolation.

Under the state softball tournament format, first-round losers go to a consolation bracket which requires three wins to get to a placing game for third and fourth.
