Davis tops local golfers with fourth at state B

McKenna Davis of Colfax, who has campaigned this year as an eighth grader, finished fourth in the state B golf finals at Lakewood May 30. Davis finished with a 94 in the second round May 29 to finish with a two-day total of 195.

Emily Baumgart of DeSales finished with an amazing 42 strokes ahead of the field to take first. Baumgart, who hit 73 on the first day, actually cut off two more strokes for a 71 on the second day.
