Gar-Pal/T.O. softball shows strong in Yakima

First a few Tekoa-Oakesdale girls made their way to Garfield-Palouse, and then they all made their way to Yakima.

In the lone season of a temporary Garfield-Palouse/Tekoa-Oakesdale co-op, the softball team advanced to the state tournament and delivered a strong showing May 30-31.

Their two losses at Yakima’s Gateway Sports Complex were to Toutle Lake – who took the state championship – and Morton-White Pass, who finished third.

The tournament’s biggest win for the Vikings came on Saturday morning.
