‘Fizz, Boom, Read’ cranks up for library summer reading

Whitman County Library’s Summer Reading program, “Fizz, Boom, Read!” offers prizes for youngsters who qualify by reading 10 books during the summer, following the last library program.

Youngsters can also qualify by listening to someone read to them for 10 hours.

Teens and adults can also participate by reading and reviewing three books over the summer. Prizes for completion include treats donated by local vendors and a chance at county-wide grand prize certificates.

Activities include visits by area scientists, WSU Birds of Prey, Lego contests, magicians and robot building.
