Cassandra Lynn Mendoza, daughter of Ignacio and Tammy Mendoza, was named valedictorian of the 2014 class of Tekoa High School which graduated Sunday. Cassandra, who earned an all-A grade average, was active in FFA, Future Problem Solving, volleyball and basketball, Tekoa Community Coalition, and National Honor Society. Cassandra has received a presidential scholarship from Whitworth University where she will study to be a physical therapist and play on the Pirates’ volleyball team.
Morgan Angelo, daughter of Mike and Denise Angelo, was named salutatorian of the 2014 class of Tekoa High School. Morgan served as president of the student body and the national honor society and has participated in basketball, softball and cheerleading. She was a member of Future Problem Solvers, and Tekoa Healthy Coalition. She will be enrolled in the honors program at Eastern Washington University where she will study dental hygiene.
