The Legendary Lentil Cook-off is a national competition and this year the festival received 114 recipes for judging. A panel of twenty food experts selected the top five to be prepared at the festival. The finalists were brought to Pullman to prepare and present their lentil dish to a panel of celebrity judges. The People’s Choice award allowed the first 100 tasters in the park to judge the recipes. Lentil Hummus Stuffed Mini Peppers won by a landslide and finalist Renata Stanko received the $100 cash prize.
The 2014 National Lentil Festival Legendary Lentil Cook-off Recipe Booklet is now available at the Pullman Chamber of Commerce for $5 plus $1.50 for postage if needed.
