The funeral service for Susan M. Hart, 60, Steptoe resident since 1998, will be Saturday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m. at Catalyst Church in Colfax. She died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at Whitman Hospital in Colfax.

Born Dec. 23, 1953, in Fremont, Calif., she was a member of the 1972 class at Newkirk, Calif. She moved to Pe Ell in 1978 where she worked as a school bus driver and cannery employee. She married Michael Patton and they were divorced after 15 years of marriage. She moved to Dutch Harbor, Alaska, in 1992 and then to St. John in 1995 where she lived until moving to Steptoe. She was a waitress at the former Wheel Inn Restaurant and then employed as a clerk at Friendly Mart.

She collected Native American jewelry, turquoise and dream catchers and enjoyed all kinds of music.

Surviving are her children, Jennifer Patton, Tacoma; Allen Patton, University Place; Edward Patton, Steptoe, and Sean Hart, Rockford; her mother, now Mary Manning of Livermore, Calif .; two brothers, and a sister in California.
