Kay Riebold named manager at Colfax Washington Federal

Kay Riebold, a familiar face in the Colfax banking scene, recently moved from the assistant manager position at AmericanWest Bank to manager at Washington Federal Bank.

She began her career in banking in 1973 at a bank in Othello.

“I found it interesting,” she said in her new office. “I like to help people and assist them with their needs.”

She has been a customer service representative for Seattle-First, Bank of America and Bank of Whitman. She was with AmericanWest Bank for two and a half years.

Riebold met her husband, Stan, through co-workers at a bank. The couple celebrated their 31st anniversary in June.

Riebold said she likes serving customers.

“Banking is a confidential business and people need to feel like their information is held in confidence,” she said.

Riebold said she moved to Washington Federal because she wanted to be a manager at this point in her career.

“This was a good opportunity to continue my career,” she said.

The Riebolds live on a 250-acre ranch outside of Winona.

“There’s lots of room for our horses, cows and dogs,” she said.

They have four children and nine grandchildren.
