Sixth grade plans Veterans day walk

The sixth grade speech class is organizing a Freedom Walk to be part of the Veterans’ Day program Nov. 10 at LaCrosse school. The assembly will begin in the school pit area at 10:30. Matt Decker, president of the Marines of the Palouse, will be the guest speaker. Immediately following the assembly the students in grade 5-12 will walk from the flag pole to the town Gathering Place behind flags carried by the sixth graders.

Lunch will be served at the Gathering Place for students and any resident who signs up by Nov. 6 by calling the school. Lunch will be free to all veterans, and $4 for others. French dip sandwiches, salad, apple crisp, coffee and lemonade will be served. Donation buckets will be located in the Gathering Place.
