Magazine lists Palouse in top 10

The November issue of Country Magazine lists the Palouse country among the top scenic attractions in a “Great Sights are Just Around the Bend” article.

The listing notes “some of the world’s most fertile and uniquely scenic farmland lies along Heart of the Palouse, also known as U.S. Highway 195. Thousands of square miles of undulating hills are studded with friendly farm towns, soaring raptors and Steptoe Butte, a towering remnant of an ancient mountain top.”

To compile the list, Country Magazine asked some of America’s best scenic photographers to share images of their favorite scenic byways from around the country. From the impressive list of roads and images offered, the editors selected 10 that are both beautiful and varied.

The Mt. Hood scenic byway was another Northwest route included in the top 10.
