Volunteers Active in Disasters: Meeting slated to discuss potential for county organization

An informational meeting about Community Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD) will be next Thursday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Public Service Building auditorium in Colfax.

“We hope to discuss the potential need in Whitman County and the viability of a Community VOAD in our county,” said Robin Cocking, deputy director of Whitman County Emergency Management.
