The 22nd annual Washington Cattlemen’s Association, all breed bull test started three weeks ago when 133 bulls consigned by 49 breeders were weighed.
The weigh-in begins the 120-day feed trial.
The consignment consists of 73 Angus, 33 Herefords (12 Polled, 21 Horned), seven Red Angus, seven SimAngus and 13 Simmental.
The bulls are fed under the supervision of Bob and Nina Lundgren at their Bonina Feed Facility at Eltopia.
A stringent health, vaccination and testing protocol is supervised by the Washington Cattlemen’s Association.
The 120 day test will end Feb. 28. At that time breeding soundness exams, semen tests and ultra-sound data will be compiled prior to the auction sale that will be conducted March 25 at the Bonina facility in Eltopia. Only the top performing bulls will be sold.
Kendall Cattle Sales at Potlatch will be sale manager.
