World War II photo plane moved here for restoration

A long-term restoration of a 1943 airplane which was used for photo reconnaissance in World War II is scheduled to get underway in Colfax. Kenneth Kennedy, who has moved here from Paul, Idaho, has rented a hangar from the Port of Whitman at the Colfax Airport to store the plane.

Kennedy, now retired, and his brother, Kevin, are planning the project. Kevin is still employed by Boeing, Co., in Seattle, and plans to retire in two years and assist in the project.
