Bulldogs take 2B win string to SunDome

Colfax volleyball players stitched another three-for-three playoff run Saturday in the regional round at Cheney to nail down a slot in the state 2B finals at the SunDome in Yakima starting Friday.

Colfax will return as the defending champion and figure to be one of the target teams for the other entrants in the 16-team show.

Coach Sue Doering, who has led the Bulldogs to 11 titles in state 2B and 1A finals, said she believes the Bulldogs can cope with what a 29-2 record will net in the pre-tourney ratings, but she also noted a state tourney always produces some surprises.
