Library to assist

with Yule letters

During the first two weeks in December Whitman County Library staff members will visit five branch locations to help those with basic computer skills create attractive holiday letters with personal pictures. Participants can take home a free digital copy and up to 10 copies on holiday stationary.

The program schedule includes Endicott, Dec. 1 at 9 a.m .; Uniontown, Dec. 3 at 4 p.m .; Oakesdale, Dec. 6 at 10:30 a.m .; St. John Library, Dec. 8 at 10 a.m .; Malden, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m.

This program is sponsored by a Microsoft Digital Training Grant and the Washington State Library. Call the Colfax Library or online for more information.

RTOP issues

audition calls

Regional Theater of the Palouse has issued an audition call for its next two Broadway musicals Little Shop of Horrors and Mary Poppins.

Auditions will be Dec. 1 through 5 from 6:30 to 8:30 the RTOP Theater on 122 N. Grand Ave. Possible call backs will be from 8 to 9:30 Dec. 4 and 5.

Performers are asked to arrive with a prepared song with sheet music in their key.

CLUBS & YOUTH GROUPS

Palouse Prairie

Annual meeting of the Palouse Prairie Foundation will be Dec. 6 from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Arts Room of the 1912 Center in Moscow with a potluck with a no-host beer and wine bar. A brief synopsis of the PPF accomplishment to date and the announcement of the new board of directors are the only items of business. The rest of the time will be devoted to socializing.

Pullman LWV

The Pullman League of Women Voters will host a public meeting Monday, Dec. 1, at Umpqua Bank on Pullman Pubic Schools and Issues. The meeting will start at 7 p.m.

Topics include an update of PHS construction, the civics requirement and making sense of federal and state educational requirements.

Speakers will be Supt. Paul Sturm, Assistant Supt. Robert Maxwell and High School Principal Joseph Thornton.
