Psalm 118:1,19, 21,28 “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Open for me the gates of righteousness; I will enter and give thanks to the Lord. I will give you thanks, for you answered me; you have become my salvation. You are my God, and I will give you thanks you are my

God, and I will exalt you.”

1. Thanksgiving helps to keep us emotionally healthy. All of us owe so much of what we are and enjoy to other people. We express appreciation to these people who have been instrumental in shaping our lives. God has used these people to bless our lives with love and character building.

2. Thanksgiving reminds us that we are not alone and there is purpose in our lives. Thanksgiving flows from an understanding that life comes from God. We are not wandering around aimlessly without value or purpose. Our destiny is certain. Life is a journey that extends into eternity.

3. Thanksgiving is an attitude, a life style, that nurtures and promotes relationships where love, peace and joy can be sustained.
