Tree lighting, singing, more set at Oakesdale

A tree lighting ceremony in Oakesdale will take place across the street from Crossett's Grocery, Sunday, Dec. 7, at 4:30 p.m. The tree lighting is sponsored by the Oakesdale Historical Society and McCoy Valley Museum. There will be singing at the lighting ceremony with cocoa, hot cider and cookies served afterwards at the museum.

The Oakesdale Historical Society will sponsor a residential Christmas lighting contest for the town of Oakesdale. Judging will be Dec. 20. First prize will be a $50 gift certificate to Crossett's Grocery with second prize being $25 from the historical society.
