Dusty BB club plans annual Yule party

Dusty B.B. Club will hold its annual community Christmas party at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church social hall Friday evening at 6 p.m. Dec. 12. Bring a hot dish and salad or dessert for the potluck dinner. Santa and Rudolph are scheduled to make a visit so bring a gift for Santa to give to your child. B.B. Club members are to meet at the hall at 9 a.m. Friday morning to decorate for the party and for their December meeting. Roll call: What is your favorite Christmas carol?

Karen, Larry and Joshua Light, Portland, were Thanksgiving weekend guests of her parents, David and Phyllis Stueckle. The trio arrived after Thanksgiving dinner and stayed until they returned to their home on Sunday.

Larry and Di Brink visited Santa in LaCrosse Saturday to tell him what they wanted for Christmas and to have their picture taken with the Big Guy. Afterward, they took Di’s brother Mike Stine with them to the craft fair in St. John and later for further Christmas shopping.

Sunday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. the Tuesday Club will present a Christmas pageant at the Methodist Church in LaCrosse. All are invited. Tuesday Club is for elementary age children but there will also be a few high school students participating in the production.

Linda Hennigar spent last Wednesday through Friday in Leavenworth. As soon as she returned home, she left for Spokane and Coeur d’Alene with Sharon McKeirnan, LaCrosse, and Carol Sullivan and Elaine Hays, both of Washtucna. They had dinner in Coeur d’ Alene and then attended the “I Remember Christmas” review, starring Ellen and Margaret Travolta. After the performance, they treated themselves to dessert in the same restaurant where they dined. They spent the night in Spokane and on Saturday, attended the “Festival of Trees” at the Davenport Hotel and River Park Square. They returned home Saturday.

Ed and Joan Broeckel joined the Heritage Ministries crew at the Onecho Bible Church Friday evening in having dinner and bagging soups with the WSU Kappa Delta sorority.
