Railway display

open for holiday

Members of the Latah Railway club will have their toy trains open for their annual Christmas display Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 to 3 p.m. in the train room at the Latah County Fairground in Moscow. The display includes HO scale, G scale and N scale toy trains in the train room which is undergoing remodeling.

Members of the train group meet and work on the display in weekly sessions during the year. The layout display is one of the attractions during the fair.

Hospital Auxiliary

Twenty-seven members gathered for a Christmas luncheon last Monday, Dec. 1, at the hospital annex. Seven from the administrative staff, including new CEO Hank Hanigan, joined the group along with two guests.

Jennie Meyer of Endicott served the luncheon.

Rosalia

Garden Club

Members celebrated the holiday season by attending the Christmas Tree Elegance at the Davenport Hotel Dec. 3 with lunch in the Safari Tower.

After returning to Rosalia the club did its annual "Hanging of the Greens" in the Gazebo at the Rosalia Mini Park. Evergreen wreaths made by members are hung annually before the first weekend in December.

Cheer baskets will be filled and distributed by club members Dec. 17 at the United Methodist Church at noon. The public is invited to help or donate items to go in the baskets.

Athenaeum

Colfax Athenaeum club Christmas luncheon was Friday, Dec. 5, at the United Methodist Church with 25 members in attendance.

Kay Van Dyke read an inspirational message composed by the late Pat Zuger, a longtime member.

The next club meeting will be Jan. 16, 2015, with Dana Carroll hostess.
