Grapplers score wins

Four Colfax wrestlers traveled to Pullman Tuesday night to mix it up with Pullman and Moscow wrestlers. Nick McAdams took wins in the 220 and the heavyweight classes.

Reggie Jones booked a 12-2 decision of Pullman's Matt Pru in the 152 class, , and Trappers Askins from Palouse pinned Issac Stone of Moscow at 1:41 in the first round of the 132 class.

Treven Kennedy, a new member of the wrestling ranks, sustained two defeats. He was pinned by Moscow's Riley Reintges in 58 seconds of the first round.

Colfax wrestlers opened the season at the Davenport tournament Saturday. Finishing second in their weight classes were Jones at 152, Brian DeYoung at 195, and McAdams at 220.

Askins finished fourth in the 132 class, and Mitch Barney finished third at 145.

The Colfax team has a total to 12 grapplers out for the season with as many as five commuting from Palouse.

Their next outing for the team will be at the Liberty tournament Saturday.
