The Colton girls extended their win streak to 47 games with a 63-59 win over an Australian traveling team Dec. 12.
The Wildcats hit 16 three-pointers in a game which stayed close except for a short-lived 10-point Colton lead in the third quarter.
Zoe Moser led the team with 21 points and nine assists while Savannah Chadwick had 17 points and six rebounds. Haley Meyer scored 15 points.
It was the first loss in six games on the trip so far for the Australians.
Potlatch 57, Gar-Pal 32
Payson Griner led the Vikings with 11 points in a loss at Potlatch Tuesday night to drop their record to 0-5. Keely Burns scored 10 and Katie Arrasmith added nine.
Callee Beebe led Potlatch with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the non-league game.
Colton 83, Lacrosse-Washtucna 4
The Wildcats got to 4-0 on the new season as five players scored in double figures Dec. 13 at Kahlotus.
Meghan Devorak led with 17 points and eight rebounds while Rachel Meyer scored 16, Haley Meyer had 15, Zoe Moser 14 and Savannah Chadwick 13.
Oakesdale 51, Garfield-Palouse 46
Eighth-grader Logan Reed hit a winning three-pointer in the final minute at Oakesdale Dec. 12 to lift her team to victory over the visiting Vikings.
Jacey Johnson led the Nighthawks with 20 points while Reed had 13. Katie Arrasmith led Gar-Pal with 25 points.
After the Vikings led by three at halftime, Oakesdale began a full-court press in the third quarter to lead by seven going into the fourth. The Nighthawks later led by 10 before Gar-Pal mounted a comeback. In the end, Reed’s three-pointer from the top of the key off an inbounds pass from Jacey Johnson lifted the Nighthawks to victory.
