Garfield-Palouse wins two more blowouts

The Vikings extended their record to 5-0 with another dominant win Tuesday night in Potlatch 61-24.

Senior guard Tyler Thurman led the team with 32 points while Matt Holbrook added 10 points and five steals. On defense, Gar-Pal forced 25 turnovers in a game which the Vikings led 24-2 at the end of the first quarter.

Grangeville 51, Colton 33

Grant Kinzer led Colton with 10 points in a loss at Grangeville Tuesday night.

Grangeville outscored Colton 27-10 in the second half to build their record to 5-1 on the season. Colton dropped to 2-3

Garfield-Palouse 67, Troy 29

Matt Holbrook scored 20 points while Tyler Thurman added 18 as the Vikings won at Troy, Idaho in a non-league game Dec. 12

Holbrook added four steals on the night while Thurman had three.

Hunter Woltering also blocked three shots for Gar-Pal.

The Vikings forced 17 turnovers.

Garfield-Palouse 71, Oakesdale 23

Gabe Cocking and Matt Holbrook led the Vikings (4-0) with a combined 25 points in a victory over Oakesdale Dec. 13.

Colton 60, LaCrosse-Washtucna-Kahlotus 14

Lane Moore led Colton with 21 points and Grant Kinzer scored 13 in Colton’s (1-1, 1-0) win over the Tigercats (0-1, 0-1).
