The contractors who are to construct the new iron bridge across the South Palouse River, at the south end of Main Street, are in the city, and will commence work at once. The piers, etc., of the new bridge are at the depot.

About three inches more of snow fell on Saturday night and sleighing was never better than at present. Sunday and Christmas were spent by a great many of our people in sleigh riding and every available sleigh and cutter in the city was in use.
