Steve and Dianne Appel went on a road trip to attend the A.F.B.F. National Convention in San Diego. They left on Jan. 7. They drove down the coast, stopping to see ocean views and the Redwoods. They met Ron and Kim Scholz for dinner one night in San Diego. Dianne was the Women’s Delegate at the Convention. They had beautiful weather with the exception of one rainy day in San Diego. They were able to catch up with many Farm Bureau friends from all over the United States. On their return trip home, they stopped in Reno and Virginia City.

Those present included John Murray of Bellingham, Oscar Broeckel, Brian and Angela Broeckel and Graham BeDell, Dusty; Cliff and Jeanette Nolan, Greg, Gwen and Jason Nolan, Andrew Nolan, Emily Oven and her two children, Lauren and Holden, Colfax; Patty and Brett Wieber, Jamie Wieber and Bobby Halbig and his children Easton, Emma, Evelyn and Ezra, and Matty Forrest, Spokane; Tom and Doreen Riedner, Genesee; Denise Kendall, Tacoma; Ken, Pam and Zach Beasley, Waitsburg and Austin Beasley, Highland Village, Texas.
