In a game between the first and second-place teams in the Southeast 1B league, Colton built a 21-point first quarter lead on the way to a 76-46 victory over Oakesdale Tuesday.
Savannah Chadwick scored 33 points to lead Colton while Zoe Moser had 15 and Winnie Schultheis seven.
Colton’s win streak is a state record and building at 59 games.
Jacey Johnson led Oakesdale with nine points while Lindsey Lindgren and Madison Shrope each scored eight.
Last week Colton set the new all-classes state girls basketball winning streak at 57 games. The previous record of 56 was held by three teams: Lakeside of Seattle (1991-92), Kennewick (1999-2000) and Central Valley (2000-01).
The last time the Wildcats lost was Dec. 28, 2012, to Kamiah, 43-34. The current team is the third Colton team that has contributed wins to the streak (beginning with the 2012-13 season).
Colton 76, LaCrosse-Washtucna-Kahlotus 6
Savannah Chadwick led the Wildcats with 15 points as Colton (14-0, 7-0) took their 58th consecutive win Saturday. In addition, Meghan Devorak added 14 points and Rachel Meyer scored 10.
Touchet 68, St. John-Endicott 57
Cierra McKeown scored 35 points on 13-of-25 shooting as the Indians beat the Eagles (6-8, 3-5) in St. John. Rachel Gfeller led St. John-Endicott with 17 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Gracie Dickerson added 17 points and nine rebounds.
Pomeroy 47, St. John-Endicott 31
Kacey Halbert led the Pirates with 27 points as Pomeroy took down the Eagles (6-7, 3-4) in St. John Jan. 16. Gracie Dickerson led St. John-Endicott with 14 points, nine rebounds and eight steals.
Garfield-Palouse 53, LaCrosse-Washtucna 22
Payson Griner scored 17 points as the Vikings (2-10, 2-6) took a dominant win at LaCrosse on Friday. Keely Burns had 16 points while Katie Arrasmith scored 11.
Jazzmyn Gordon led the Tigercats with eight points.
