In a week of a couple postponed games because of illness on the Oakesdale roster, Southeast 1B league-leaders Garfield-Palouse built their record to 13-0, 8-0 with a 75-6 blowout win at LaCrosse Jan. 16.
Tyler Thurman led with 18 points and Matt Holbrook added 11 as the Vikings won a game which they lead 42-0 early in the second quarter.
Colton 57, Kamiah 43
Beginning with a 16-9 deficit, the Wildcats came back to tie the game with a minute left in the first half before building a lead in the third quarter. Carter Dahmen lead Colton with 16 points in the game while Austin Meyer scored 15 and Lane Moore 12.
Pomeroy 72, St. John-Endicott 32
The Pirates took control with a 13-0 run in the third quarter to run away at St. John Jan. 16.
Jacob Tewalt led the Pirates (11-2, 6-1) with 15 points while Tyson Fieder added 14 points in the game. Pomeroy out-rebounded the Eagles 31-13.
Robert Staples led St. John-Endicott with eight points in the game.
St. John-Endicott 60, Touchet 56 (OT)
Staples led the Eagles with 30 points on 10-of-21 shooting as St. John-Endicott (6-8, 3-5) outlasted the Indians Saturday at home. Staples made four three-pointers and his 6 of 8 free throws included key, game-sealing points in overtime.
For Touchet, Colter McKeown led with 15 points in the game.
Colton 66, LaCrosse-Washtucna-Kahlotus 10
Colton took care of the Tigercats Saturday as Brady Chadwick scored 16 points and Carter Dahmen added 14 and Austin Meyer 11. The Wildcats made 21 of 28 free throws in the game. Weston Miller led the Tigercats with four points.
Oakesdale at Garfield-Palouse, postponed
The Oakesdale game at Garfield-Palouse for Jan. 17 was postponed due to several Oakesdale players with the flu. It has been rescheduled for Jan. 27 at the Garfield gym. Boys J.V. starts at 4:30 followed by girls varsity at 6 p.m. and boys varsity at 7:30 p.m.
