Jamison earns Eagle award

Mitchell W. Jamison, a member of Boy Scout Troop 577 at Garfield, received his Eagle Scout award during an official Court of Honor Sunday.

He is the son of Russell and Sandy Jamison of Garfield and the grandson of Hollis and Helen Jamison, Garfield, and Norm and Virginia Warren, Spokane.

He has been involved in the scouting program for more than ten years and concluded his time with the program by completing his Eagle Scout service project.

With the help and support of many community members, Mitch designed, constructed and erected a metal sign for the Garfield cemetery.

Along with his Eagle Scout certificate, badge and pin award, which were presented by Scoutmaster Jay Iverson, Mitch was also recognized by the State and National American Legion, a very strong sponsor/supporter of the Boy Scouts of America.

He was presented with these two certificates of recognition by his grandfather, Hollis Jamison, a Legion member.
