State pavings bid call lists three 195 segments

The March 9 bid call by the Department of Transportation for asphalt paving on Highway 195 will include paving for Main Street through downtown Colfax. The project is slated to begin at Cooper Street and continue north all the way to the Dry Creek Road intersection.

Cooper Street was the end point of the rebuilding project and surfacing done on the south end of Colfax three years ago. The plan calls for a grind down of the present street surface to remove the worn lane depressions. A new asphalt surface will be applied.
