FFA dinner

auction set

The annual dinner and auction for Pullman FFA alumni and friends will be at Banyan’s on the Ridge Sunday, Feb. 22, with a social hour at 4:30 p.m. and dinner at 5:30. Guests 21 and over are welcome.

Tickets are $30 each or $225 for a table of eight. The silent auction will include many items from local artisans. The evening will end with a dessert auction featuring desserts made by FFA members. Contact Marla Haugen by today, Feb. 12, to make a reservation.

Zumba class joins

library offerings

Zumba Fitness joins a growing line-up of exercise classes at the Colfax Library and Center. Zumba will be Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. beginning today , Feb. 12.

Certified Zumba instructor Jenna Miller will lead the class and invites everyone to try their first class for free. Zumba is a Latin inspired cardio workout similar to dance aerobics but without the complicated step routines.

CLUBS & YOUTH GROUPS

Athenaeum

Twenty-three members met Feb. 6 at the Colfax Library. Mary Ann Wigen gave a presentation on "birding, blue birds and blue jays." Hostess was Sherry Cox.

The next meeting will be Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. at the Methodist Church.

P.E.O.

Seventeen members of chapter AF met at the Courtyard Feb. 9 with Robyn Johnson hosting. One guest was also present. Roll call response was to name a least favorite chore.

An invitation to Spokane's Reciprocity Luncheon was read. The bylaws were read and approved as corrected.

Ways and Means Committee members have been busy making necklaces to sell at various locations to raise money for the scholarship fund. They displayed several samples at the meeting.

Next meeting will be Feb. 23 at Peace Lutheran Church with Arlene Hatley hosting. Nancy Waldron will present the program. A short work session will follow the meeting.
