Garfield-Palouse, Pomeroy finish in first-place tie

Rounding out league play for the 2014-15 season, Garfield-Palouse and Pomeroy both picked up blowout wins Feb. 6 to enter the district tournament in a tie for first. Pomeroy won a draw at the start of the season so they take the No. 1 seed for districts and Gar-Pal enters at No. 2.

Garfield-Palouse 75, LaCrosse-Washtucna-Kahlotus 17

A 54-5 first half-margin led to a definitive win over the Tigercats Saturday in Palouse.

Cole Sanderson led the Vikings with 15 points on the night while Gabe Cocking and Ian Niebergs scored 11 each, and Mitch Jamison and Matt Holbrook both had 8.
