Many of the songs have lyrics dealing with the vagaries of love, often in a humorous vein.

The choir will also perform a number of hits from such Broadway shows as 'Chicago', 'Annie Get Your Gun' and 'The Sound of Music', as well as from Mozart and Puccini operas.

In addition, violinist Kate Slyusarev will play her instrument and perform a vocal aria.

Duo art show

set at Dahmen

Two longtime artists and friends will display a retrospective of their work the month of March at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown. The opening reception will be Sunday, March 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. This is a retrospective exhibit featuring Uniontown artist and donor of the Dahmen Barn to the community Junette Dahmen, along with Kay Montgomery, artist from Moscow, Idaho. Both artists work in watercolor and collage. Both were some of the first artists to join the Palouse Watercolor Socius.

Junette will display works of collage and watercolors, some never seen before. Junette painted realistic watercolors and her collage mixed media pieces let the viewer’s imagination discover a possible hidden treasure in the paintings.

Montgomery primarily works with transparent watercolor, but also uses acrylics, inks, fabric dyes, collage and gemstones, as well as pastels and colored pencil. She usually has an idea about the direction a work is to go and uses whatever means are necessary to achieve that end.
