Idaho murders suspect to stay in county jail

Extradition of John Lee, 29, back to Latah County was again delayed Friday morning in superior court until his trial on the felony eluding charge in Whitman County is concluded. Lee’s trial date on the charge has now been scheduled for May 11 after he waived his speedy trial rights.

Lee faces a governor’s warrant of extradition to Idaho where he faces three charges of first degree murder and one charge of attempted first degree murder.

Lee had been scheduled for trial here March 16, and Prosecutor Denis Tracy Friday requested the court to conduct the trial as scheduled.
