Nine will compete for Colfax Distinguished Young Woman

Nine Colfax High School junior girls will compete for the title of Colfax Distinguished Young Woman 2016 next Saturday, March 21, at 7 p.m.

in the Colfax High School auditorium.

The program theme will be "Jilligan's Island & Its Castaway Crew." Contestants in front, from the left, are Sidney Sheer, daughter of Tom and Nancy Sheer; Pearl Griffiths, daughter Richard and Tess Griffiths; Morgan Lord, daughter of Clayton and Shari Lord; and Sarah Appel, daughter of Eric and Shannon Appel.

In back from the left, are Allson Dunning, daughter of Jim and Janet Dunning; Nicole Wiley, daughter of Michael and Mary Wiley; Hailey Ring, daughter of Kevin and Lannette Ring; Olivia Mellor, daughter of Kim and Sue Mellor, and Roxanne Allenbach, daughter of Jim and Trudi Allenbach.

Emcee for the competition will be Amara Huber, this year's Distinguished Young Woman; Erica Eng and Ysabeaux Ng, first and second runners-up last year.
