Sixty attend 'Dryland' show

A community forum followed the presentation of the film “Dryland” March 26 in LaCrosse. Approximately 60 people attended the screening of Dryland at The Gathering Place March 26. The directors, Sue Arbuthnot and Richard Wilhelm, who have received an Oregon Arts Commission Media Arts Fellowship and two Best Feature Documentary awards for Dryland, were present. The two lead cast members, Josh Knodel and Matt Miller, attended.

The evening ended with a panel discussion and question and answer session with Sue, Richard, Josh, Matt and Alex McGregor. Randy Suess was the moderator

Whitman County Library is bringing dynamic trainer Josh Wade to present four workshops in April. He is the proprietor of Spokane Wine Magazine and Nectar Tasting Room. Bring ideas to the LaCrosse Library Wednesday, April 15.

The recent “Jump Rope for Erik” was a huge success. The students of LaCrosse Schools gathered pledges and raised over $1,700 to help the Binks family. The three-year-old Binks boy is undergoing treatment for cancer.
