Cai, Brown book two wins at McLoughlin

Colfax girls placed fourth Friday in the big Carnival of Speed meet at McLoughlin High School in Milton Freewater. They rolled out 57.83 points in a meet which drew 22 teams, many of them large school teams from Oregon.

Pentleton, a top divison school in Oregon, topped the team points with 127 points; Umatilla scored 74, and host McLoughlin 63.

Junior Scout Cai won the high jump with a leap of 5-1, and pole vault at 10-0.

Parker Warwick, who was recently cleared for competition after undergoing hip surgery, took the 400 with a clocking of 1:07.2.
