All three measures on Tuesday’s special election ballot were approved by voters.
Oakesdale’s request for a three-year levy to raise $600,000 with a three-year special levy was approved by over 63 percent with 195 yes votes and 114 no.
“Very excited to have 65 percent passing,” said Oakesdale Superintendent Jake Dingman. After three failed bond measures, Dingman noted he, the board and staff were excited and appreciative of the support.
“This will help take care of things we needed,” he said.
The Oakesdale proposal this year was for electrical, plumbing and energy efficiency measures. It was placed on the ballot after a bond proposal for more than $7 million was rejected by district voters twice last year.
Endicott School district, which sought a six-year run of special levies for a total of $1,625,000 received 55 percent approval with 81 yes votes and 64 no.
The Endicott Park & Recreation request for $45,000 in a one-year levy to operate the swim pool had the strongest approval rate with 104 in favor and 48 opposed for more than 68 percent approval.
