Serving Whitman County since 1877
At Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown, Dave Gressard of Moscow and Judy Fairley will present new work in pastel, acrylic, watercolor and scratchboard in an exhibit titled "Fur and Feathers". Most work will be native and shoreline birds and animals of the Pacific Northwest. The opening reception will be Sunday, May 3, from 1 to 4 p.m. with the artists present. The show continues through May 31.
Gressard’s art is the result of his appreciation and fascination for animals and the environment which surrounds them. He graduated from the University of Idaho with a directed studies degree emphasizing art and biology. He is an avid bird watcher and enjoys getting into the back country of the West with his two sons whenever possible.
Judy Fairley teaches art through Walla Walla Community College. Her affiliation with the college and the Valley Art Center has been 35 years in the making. She grew up in Clarkston where she and her twin sister helped on the family horse and cattle ranch. She is a participating artist in the Snake River Showcase Studio at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn.
