Bulldogs escape Reardan to lock up top NE spot

The Colfax baseball players added two more wins to stretch their win string to 18-0 in the NE race after escaping a late-inning charge by the Indians at Reardan Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs pegged a 5-4 win in the first game and dropped Reardan 24-3 in the second game for their ninth straight doubleheader league win.

The double win locks up the league’s top spot with one more league round left, a double bill with Davenport in a makeup round Friday.

Davenport and Wilbur/Creston are tied at second in the league run with three defeats.
