Iva Kjosnes, native of the Selbu area near Hay, died April 30. The daughter of John and Gertrude Kyllo Kjosnes, she graduated from LaCrosse High School in 1945. She had been living in Foss Nursing Home in Seattle. Burial in the Selbu Lutheran Church cemetery will be at a later date.

News was recently received that Ruth Stueckle Gwinn, 91, died April 2, 2015, at Mirabella in Seattle. She was buried at the Dusty Cemetery this past weekend alongside her husband Stan. She was the daughter of Chris and Millie Stueckle. The family gathered for lunch and visiting after the burial at the home of Ruth’s niece, Jan and Harmon Smith. Attending were Ruth’s children Steve (Debbie) Gwinn and Sandy (Buddy) Gilbert of the Seattle area. Ruth’s other nieces from Spokane, Dan and Dianne Stueckle Morris and Mike and Colette Walker Porter with children Matt and Rachel, and Gina Morgan of Yakima, daughter of Harm and Jan Smith, also attended.

Dick and Helen Appel entertained Abbot Adrian Parcher at dinner Sunday.

Mark and Kathy Vogler returned from Huntington Beach, Calif., where they attended the wedding of Devin Campbell and Michelle Weurtz. Devin is the son of the late Joyce Vogler Campbell. Nearly all the Vogler clan attended the event, including Chad and Anna Vogler Assareh and daughter Iris and Henry and Cari Vogler. Mark had a great time seeing his sisters Charleen and Delores (Dody) and their families. The first cousins also had a reunion and all enjoyed dancing with two-year-old Iris at the reception.

Tom and Doreen Riedner had an open house for members of the Country Bible Church after morning worship services Sunday.

Many Dusty residents attended funeral services in LaCrosse Friday for Buster Roberts and on Saturday for Erik Binks.

The Dusty B.B. Club guest day luncheon will be in the Jones Schoolhouse on the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds at 11:45 next week Wednesday, May 13. Dianne Appel will present a program on FFA.
