Lentil fest plans launch

The National Lentil Festival poster unveiling and wine vs. brew tasting sponsored by Chipman & Taylor Chevrolet will be at The Cider House June 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. This event serves as the kickoff for the 27th annual National Lentil Festival, which will be Aug. 21-22, 2015.

This year’s poster artwork was created by Rob Smith of Colfax. Signed posters will available for purchase along with the 2015 souvenir t-shirts and other merchandise.

Starting June 4, remaining signed posters will be available to purchase online at lentilfest.com.

Tickets to the unveiling event are $35 and can be purchased by calling the Pullman Chamber of Commerce. Participants include Camas Prairie Winery, Merry Cellars Winery, Paradise Creek Brewery and Whiskey Barrel Cider Company. After sampling from the region’s finest beverages, guests will vote for the best beverage. The winner will take home a coveted trophy to display in their business until next year’s competition.
