Colfax girls top regional, head for state 2B finals

Colfax girls rolled up 112 points to top 16 other teams in the SE-NE regional at Central Valley Friday. The Bulldogs edged the LRS Broncos by 16 points.

Colfax boys placed fifth with 49 points behind the 94 point win tagged by Waitsburg/Prescott.

Tekao/Rosalia boys, led by two sprint wins booked by Eli Richardson, placed four points back of the Bulldog boys.

Colfax girls return to the state finals at Cheney as the defending champions, but they have battled with the LRS Broncos and a lot will depend on how the top performance of the NE-SE regional stack out against the state field.
